Dyeing workshop for Groundwork Nottingham.

I know I've done workshops in a variety of venues but this is my latest!

In April, I did 2 dyeing workshops for Groundwork Nottingham at the Windmill Community gardens.        http://windmillcommunitygardens.blogspot.co.uk/
It was challenging having no electricity and running water so as it was a Natural Dyeing workshop we went 'au naturel' in the polytunnel.

It was great fun and we even fitted in some spindling and pegloom weaving.  It did turn into a bit of a steam bath, as the weather was glorious outside, but at least I got a good facial!

The Windmill Community Garden is a great place to visit with lots of hands on activities. They had discovered Weld growing on their patch, so that's what we worked with.  We used some blue dye to represent Woad and made our own varigated Lincoln green skeins.

Wearing my favourite apron of course.

It's been a while.

Well, it has been a while and we have been 'up' to things!

After enjoying ourselves at Glastonbury we came home and prepared for BOB, the undercover craft festival. We had a busy 2 days and saw lots of friends. We also made some new friends. And we are now preparing to attend the newly evolved Bakewell Wool Gathering in October at the same venue. Bakewell Wool Gathering event Hope we get a spot under the heaters this time, or a lovely sunny October(pretty please).

Our little Etsy shop is ticking along and making us more friends so I'm a very happy bod at the moment..lots of friends.

Anyway, I made himself a very happy bod by taking him out the other day....to a sawmill:)

So now he's planning on making more of these..
